Lexly ("we", "our", "the app") is a word games app developed by Rekisha. This privacy policy explains how we handle your information.

            In short: Lexly is a local-first app. Your game data stays on your device. We collect minimal, anonymous analytics to improve the app. We do not collect personal information, and there are no user accounts.
        

1. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal identifiers.
We do not require account creation or login.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or any sensitive device data.
We do not share or sell any data to third parties for advertising purposes.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

All game data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:

Game statistics (wins, losses, guess history)
App preferences (theme, hard mode, high contrast settings)

This data is only accessible by the app and is deleted when you uninstall the app.

3. Analytics Data We Collect

We use Amplitude, a third-party analytics service, to collect anonymous usage data that helps us improve the app. This includes:

App open events
Game start and completion events (e.g., whether a game was won and how many guesses were used)
Feature usage (e.g., sharing results, viewing statistics)

This data is anonymous and cannot be used to identify you personally. No device identifiers, advertising IDs, or personal information are included in analytics events.

4. Permissions

The app requires only the INTERNET permission, which is used solely for sending anonymous analytics data. The app functions fully offline for gameplay.

5. Children's Privacy

Lexly does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since we do not collect any personal information from any user, the app is safe for all ages.

6. Data Sharing

The app includes a share feature that lets you share your game results (as a text-based emoji grid) via your device's share menu. This is entirely user-initiated, and the shared content does not include any personal or device information.
